2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X Returns With Hurricane Power

Ram is continuing to expand its 1500 off-road range, bringing back the Rebel X for the 2026 model year. Positioned between the standard Rebel and the more extreme RHO, it retains an emphasis on all-terrain ability and generous equipment.

Power comes from a 3.0-litre Hurricane straight-six turbo engine producing 420 hp and 469 lb ft (636 Nm) of torque. Buyers wanting more performance can choose the 540 hp Ram 1500 RHO, while the TRX will return later in the year with a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 delivering 777 hp.

The Rebel X features a 25 mm (1-inch) suspension lift, Bilstein dampers, 457 mm (18-inch) wheels fitted with 838 mm (33-inch) off-road tyres, an electronic locking differential and underbody protection.

Rough Road Cruise Control, equipment and pricing

Particular attention should be paid to Rough Road Cruise Control, an off-road cruise-control system that operates at speeds of up to 32 km/h and automatically adjusts suspension damping and steering effort. Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, a panoramic roof, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, driver’s-seat memory settings and a powered tailgate.

The 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X starts at $71,930, which is $2,245 more than the previous version and brings it almost level with the RHO.

The Rebel X presents itself as a middle ground between practicality and outright extremity. Given the popularity of off-road pickup variants in the United States, this formula has a strong chance of succeeding despite the higher price.
