With Antonio Filosa taking charge of Stellantis in June, the French group has begun a substantial restructuring programme, starting with the way its European operations are coordinated.

Jean-Philippe Imparato had previously overseen the Enlarged Europe region and the European Brands. That remit has now moved to Emanuele Cappellano, who will also continue to head Stellantis Pro One, the group’s light commercial vehicle division.

Imparato remains Maserati’s chief executive and head of Stellantis & You, but will now report directly to Cappellano.

Francesco Ciancia to lead global production

Francesco Ciancia returns to Stellantis from Mercedes-Benz, where he served as chief operating officer of the Mercedes-Benz Vans division. He will take responsibility for the group’s worldwide manufacturing operations as Global Head of Manufacturing and a member of the Stellantis Leadership Team (SLT).

Ciancia will begin in the role on 1 November, replacing Arnaud Deboeuf, who is leaving the company. “I am excited and motivated to return to Stellantis and contribute to this new momentum,” Ciancia said.

Other changes

Among the other members of the Stellantis Leadership Team, Herlander Zola will oversee the South American market, while Samir Cherfan takes charge of the Middle East, Africa and Micromobility. Grégoire Olivier will coordinate China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Across product and technology, Ned Curic heads Engineering and Technology, while Davide Mele is in charge of Product Planning. Sébastien Jacquet leads Quality, Monica Genovese oversees Purchasing, and Scott Thiele is responsible for Supply Chain.

In finance, Joao Laranjo holds the position of Chief Financial Officer. Xavier Chéreau is responsible for Human Resources, while Clara Ingen-Housz leads Corporate Communications and Institutional Relations. Finally, Ralph Gilles joins the Group as global head of design.

“With these new appointments, we are promoting exceptional talent, both internally and externally, into leadership roles as we prepare our business for future success. We are also strengthening our regional focus by assigning specific responsibilities to our Asia-Pacific and Middle East & Africa organisations at SLT level,” said chief executive Antonio Filosa.
