The Lamborghini Revuelto SV signals the return of the Super Veloce badge, with one key difference: it is the first time it has been paired with a hybrid system.
The formula follows the established SV approach: greater performance, a sharper track focus and a more direct connection between car and driver. This time, however, electrification is part of the package, and it is responsible for the extra 50 hp.
More power without changing the V12
The Revuelto SV pairs the familiar naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 with three electric motors, producing a combined 1065 hp - 50 hp more than the Revuelto. Peak torque stands at 1425 Nm.
The V12 itself still produces the same 825 hp. During a round-table discussion attended by Razão Automóvel, Alessandro Farmeschi, who heads Lamborghini’s Revuelto line, confirmed that the entire power increase comes from the electric side of the powertrain.
To achieve this, Lamborghini created an entirely new battery. While its external dimensions remain unchanged, it uses new, higher-density cylindrical cells and raises capacity to 7.3 kWh - almost twice that of the Revuelto’s 3.8 kWh battery.
The aim was not to extend electric range. “In a Lamborghini, we need to get from A to B while enjoying the drive,” Farmeschi explained. According to the executive, the electrical energy is primarily intended to boost acceleration, support front-axle torque vectoring and deliver greater performance consistency on track.
According to the manufacturer, the new battery provides up to four times greater performance consistency, allowing maximum output to be sustained and repeated for longer on circuit.
A larger battery, but identical weight
Traditionally, Lamborghinis wearing the SV badge are lighter than the models on which they are based. That is not the case with the Revuelto SV.
Asked about the matter, Farmeschi confirmed that its weight is exactly the same as the Revuelto’s. The larger battery and certain new suspension components add mass, but Lamborghini has offset this through more extensive use of carbon fibre.
The front bumper, rear wing, door panels and racing seats are among the items that helped balance the figures. Dry weight is 1772 kg, while the power-to-weight ratio is 1.66 kg/hp.
Lamborghini Revuelto SV suspension uses less electronics
The suspension is another major area of change. The Revuelto features electronically adjustable magnetorheological dampers, whereas the Revuelto SV replaces them with passive, manually adjustable four-way dampers, a GT3-inspired solution.
Rather than changing the set-up from the steering wheel, the driver selects the configuration before taking to the circuit, tailoring it to the track surface and conditions. Lamborghini claims the Revuelto is more agile and capable of 10% more lateral grip.
The brakes are new as well. The CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic discs employ longer carbon fibres and a dedicated coating to increase friction and improve heat dissipation. According to Farmeschi, braking from 200 km/h to 0 km/h takes 110 metres, 11 metres less than in the Revuelto.
They are joined by Bridgestone Potenza Race R semi-slick tyres developed for the SV, along with the new Pilota driving mode. Activated in Corsa mode, it allows the driver to select from five levels of traction and stability control intervention.
Why it does not use active aerodynamics
The fixed rear wing of the Lamborghini Revuelto SV is among the most obvious differences compared with the familiar Revuelto, and it was a deliberate decision.
Farmeschi said Lamborghini investigated an active solution, but determined that the fixed wing and the rest of the aerodynamic package were effective enough not to warrant the additional weight, components and complexity. There is a historical link, too: the Aventador SV and Murciélago SV also featured fixed wings.
“Every part of the car has a reason to be the way it is. It is not just aesthetics,” Farmeschi summarised. The front end has been redesigned, with a new splitter, a revised floor and a twin-element rear wing. The new 20-inch and 21-inch wheels also introduce centre-lock mounting on a production Lamborghini.
Overall, the Revuelto SV generates 80% more downforce than the Revuelto and improves the downforce-to-drag ratio by 60%. Downforce is also 10% higher than that of the Aventador SVJ.
It reaches 100 km/h from rest in 2.4s, hits 200 km/h in 6.7s and exceeds 345 km/h. At Hockenheim, Marco Mapelli recorded 1min41.6s, the fastest time Lamborghini has announced for a production car at that circuit.
When will it arrive?
The Revuelto SV will be limited to 1963 units, a reference to Lamborghini’s founding year. Production begins at the end of 2026, with the first deliveries expected in the first quarter of 2027.
