Updated BYD Dolphin now available from €35,990

The BYD Dolphin only arrived on the UK market at the end of 2023, yet the Chinese manufacturer is already announcing an updated version, now available from €35,990.

This refresh is not quite as early as it may appear, as the Dolphin was first launched in China in 2021. Even so, the exterior changes are virtually undetectable.

BYD Dolphin range and charging

The most significant change is the revised line-up: the Dolphin is now offered in a single Comfort trim. It features the more powerful 150 kW (204 hp) motor and the larger 60.4 kWh battery.

Range remains at up to 427 km on the combined WLTP cycle, while DC charging power has risen from 88 kW to 110 kW, helping to reduce charging times.

Another update concerns boot capacity, which has increased by 19 litres over the previous model to 364 litres.

Interior equipment

Inside, there is a new heated multifunction steering wheel trimmed in vegan material, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, a rotating 12.8-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heat pump, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability and, now fitted as standard, a rain sensor.

When does it arrive?

The refreshed BYD Dolphin is already available in Portugal from €35,990 and is now consolidated into a single version.
