Citroën has delivered on its promise. The brand had already previewed a more affordable ë-C3, although one important detail was still missing: its arrival in Portugal. That is no longer in doubt.
Named the Citroën ë-C3 Urban Range, it is now available to order, with prices starting from €19,990.
Citroën ë-C3 Urban Range: battery and range
This new variant completes the ë-C3 electric line-up, which until now consisted solely of the “Comfort Range” version, fitted with a 44 kWh battery and offering up to 326 km of range on the WLTP cycle.
Compared with that model, the more affordable ë-C3 claims up to 212 km of combined WLTP range, courtesy of its smaller-capacity 30 kWh battery. It can be charged at up to 7.4 kW using alternating current (AC), or up to 30 kW with direct current (DC).
The electric motor remains unchanged, however, producing the same 83 kW (113 hp) and 125 Nm of torque, with a top speed limited to 135 km/h.
Equipment levels for the Citroën ë-C3
The new Citroën ë-C3 Urban Range is offered in two trim levels: You and Plus. The entry-level version includes a head-up display, light sensor, electrically adjustable door mirrors and driving-assistance systems such as active lane-departure warning.
The Plus trim adds a 10-inch touchscreen, heated door mirrors, a rain sensor and automatic high-beam switching, among other features.
Both range versions - Urban Range and Comfort Range - are also offered as a Van model (N1 type approval), aimed at goods-delivery professionals, from €23,300.
What is the starting price?
In Portugal, the Citroën C3 range starts at €15,490 in You trim, paired with a 100 hp combustion engine. See the full range pricing:
As mentioned, the French crossover’s fully electric versions start at €19,990. See the complete ë-C3 line-up:
