New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross electric now available to order in Portugal from €44,500

The new all-electric Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is now available to order in Portugal, carrying an introductory on-the-road price of €44,500. It is the brand’s second electric model in the country, following the i-MiEV, which arrived when the electric-vehicle market was still in its infancy and cost more than €40,000.

Developed through the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, the new Eclipse Cross shares a number of its technical solutions with the Renault Scenic E-Tech.

Despite this shared basis, it retains its own character, with the latest evolution of Dynamic Shield styling at the front and the Wide Hexagon design language at the rear.

The electric SUV measures 4.47 m long, 1.86 m wide and 1.57 m high. Its 545-litre boot is one of its highlights, made possible by the AmpR Medium platform.

Its exterior design adopts modern, dynamic proportions, while the cabin brings together comfort and technology. The Eclipse Cross features a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display.

These provide access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, alongside Google services including Maps, a virtual assistant and Google Play.

Battery, range and performance

The electric SUV uses an 87 kWh battery, delivering a maximum WLTP range of 625 km. It also supports DC rapid charging at up to 150 kW.

Its electric motor produces 160 kW (220 hp), enabling a 0–100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h. The Eclipse Cross range consists of a single trim level: Intense.

When will the Eclipse Cross arrive?

The first examples of the electric Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be available in Portugal from January 2026. Astara has set a special €43,000 price for the first 50 units, which also applies to business customers.

Mitsubishi’s new SUV comes with an extended eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty, including the battery. Production will take place in Douai, France, on an assembly line shared with other Alliance models.
