New Renault Clio: range and prices revealed

The word most often used to describe the all-new, sixth-generation Renault Clio is “unrecognisable”. Its bolder styling bears little resemblance to that of its predecessors, its technology offering has been enhanced, and it introduces new powertrains, including a new-generation hybrid.

It has not yet arrived in Portugal - first deliveries are only expected at the beginning of 2026 - but the new Renault Clio can already be ordered and its prices have been announced.

New Renault Clio range and prices

For Portugal, the initial line-up comprises three choices. The entry-level model uses the TCe 115 engine, available with either a manual gearbox or an EDC automatic transmission. Above this sits the 160 hp E-Tech Full Hybrid system. The range will be expanded next year with the LPG-powered ECO-G 120 EDC version.

Renault Clio equipment levels

In terms of specification, the new-generation Clio is offered in three trims - evolution, techno and esprit Alpine - each of which, Renault promises, comes with a very generous level of equipment.

Even the entry-level version will include features such as adaptive cruise control, an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, a driver fatigue alert system, a 10.1-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear parking sensors.

The techno trim adds the OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built in, Multi-Sense driving modes, keyless entry, a reversing camera, LED ambient lighting and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Renault Clio esprit Alpine and safety technology

The esprit Alpine model takes the role of range-topper, combining a sportier identity with exclusive finishes. Its equipment includes Alcantara upholstery, aluminium pedals, a wireless charging pad, 18-inch alloy wheels, Dark Chrome badges and a front grille featuring shale-grey details.

For safety and driver assistance, the new Renault Clio also comes with Active Driver Assist, blind-spot warning, an occupant safe-exit alert and automatic braking during reversing manoeuvres.

Slightly larger than its predecessor and with a boot that can hold up to 391 litres, the new-generation Renault Clio is naturally aiming to become the benchmark in the supermini segment once again.

For buyers seeking a fully electric option, that role will be filled by the Renault 5 E-Tech.
