New Fiat Grande Panda: Inside and Out

The exterior of the new Fiat Grande Panda has already been revealed; now it is time to explore the model in full, inside and out.

Its presentation took place at Fiat’s former Lingotto factory, famous for the oval test track on its roof. The shape of that circuit is, in fact, the inspiration behind the new Grande Panda.

The clearest reference to the track is likely the dashboard surround, which features semicircular forms at either end. The same motif appears on the centre console, housing the transmission selector shared with numerous other Stellantis models.

The dashboard itself incorporates several generously sized storage areas, providing a combined capacity of 13 litres, alongside the displays for the instruments and infotainment system. Some of the on-screen graphics also echo the oval shape of the test circuit.

Compact dimensions, generous space

As well as its numerous storage solutions, the Fiat Grande Panda makes efficient use of the available room to create a spacious cabin, despite its compact exterior dimensions of 3.99 m in length.

In the same vein, Fiat has found a way to “fit in” a boot with 361 litres of capacity.

Multiple choices

The new Grande Panda is closely related to the Citroën ë-C3, sharing Stellantis’s Smart Car multi-energy platform and its powertrains. In other words, it will be available with combustion-only, hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

This versatility will allow Fiat’s new offering to suit a wide range of global markets, rather than Europe alone.

For Europe, the fully electric Grande Panda stands out, matching the ë-C3’s figures: 83 kW (113 hp), supplied by a battery with 44 kWh of capacity. This delivers a maximum range of 320 km (combined WLTP cycle), although the final figure is still awaiting homologation.

As with the Citroën ë-C3, the electric Grande Panda’s price is also expected to be one of its major strengths: forecasts suggest the entry-level version will cost less than €25,000.

When will it arrive?

The new Fiat Grande Panda is expected to reach the market later this year. Prices have not yet been announced.
