Footballers and luxury cars are inseparable. Cars are often a marker of a successful sporting career, and the finest way to take that success beyond the pitch is on… four wheels.

Cristiano Ronaldo, exceptional though he is, is no exception to that rule. His garages house some of the most coveted sports cars ever made. It is a collection that keeps expanding and is certain to grow further in 2024.

For the Portuguese international, this is about far more than simply showing off. It is a genuine passion.

Not every machine on this list remains in Cristiano Ronaldo’s garage. As expected, some models have been moved on to make room for others. The latest addition? A Ferrari Purosangue. Which car will be the next to enter Cristiano Ronaldo’s garage?

Range Rover Sport

The Range Rover Sport SVR uses a 575 hp supercharged 5.0-litre V8 - although we doubt it has ever been taken off-road. Will the star replace it with the new-generation Sport?

Mercedes-AMG S 65

The Mercedes-AMG S 65 Coupé was among the final V12 models from the three-pointed-star brand - today, this engine can only be found in Mercedes-Maybach models.

One rival to Mercedes’ grand coupé is the Bentley Continental GT, and Cristiano Ronaldo also owned one: specifically, a 2009 Continental GT Speed, which has since been sold.

McLaren MP4-12C Spyder

The McLaren MP4-12C was the first model from the then “new” McLaren Cars, now known as McLaren Automotive. Cristiano Ronaldo could not resist the appeal of the Spyder variant and its twin-turbo V8.

Ferrari 599 GTO

There remains some debate over Ferrari applying the GTO badge to a model not built for competition, but there can be no question about this: the 599 GTO is a very special machine.

Its naturally aspirated V12 produced 670 hp - 50 hp more than the other 599 versions - while the car was almost 100 kg lighter. Just 599 examples were built, another reason why it is so highly sought after.

Porsche 911 Turbo S (991)

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is an exceptional machine in every respect - superb for everyday use, yet capable of intimidating more exotic and exclusive supercars.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is undoubtedly a different kind of choice. This American muscle car was not solely about its huge, thunderous 6.2-litre V8. The Camaro ZL1 was designed to corner: with the 1LE package, it lapped the Nürburgring in 7min16s (2017) - respect… Though probably not in the convertible version he owned.

Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador was the car the footballer bought himself to celebrate his 27th birthday. In the marque’s history, the Aventador will be remembered as the final series-production naturally aspirated V12, excluding one-off models, without any form of electrification.

Beyond the black car shown in the images, rumours suggest that CR7 also owns the same model in white.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

Ronaldo’s fondness for Bugatti is well known. The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was his first, and like every Bugatti of this century so far, it features the mighty quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16.

Ferrari F12tdf

Another Ferrari. The F12 replaced the 599, and it is fair to say that this F12tdf succeeded the 599 GTO. “tdf” paid tribute to the Tour de France, a race Ferrari dominated during the 1950s and 1960s. Only 799 examples exist.

At the front sits a 6.3-litre V12 producing a maximum 780 hp at 8500 rpm, with a top speed in excess of 340 km/h.

Bugatti Chiron

This is one of the most expensive cars in Cristiano Ronaldo’s collection, at approximately €2.4 million. The Bugatti Chiron succeeded the Veyron, retaining the quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16. This time, however, it delivers 1500 hp. A total of 500 were produced.

Like every other Chiron, Ronaldo’s example was personalised. The short video above shows the “CR7” inscription engraved on the side of the car.

Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG

Surrounded by Bugattis, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, the footballer’s Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S appears somewhat… modest. Yet beneath its bonnet lies one of the great engines of our time: AMG’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8.

Audi RS 7 Sportback

During his time at Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, like all his team-mates, received an Audi. In CR7’s case, the choice was an RS 7 - fitting, is it not?

Rolls-Royce Cullinan

Ronaldo also succumbed to the appeal of the aristocratic British marque’s first SUV. CR7’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan was specified with a bespoke black-and-white leather interior and bought shortly after the star joined Juventus.

It is worth recalling that this SUV was launched in 2018 and quickly became Rolls-Royce’s best-selling model.

McLaren Senna

With an estimated price of €1 million, the McLaren Senna is one of the most extreme supercars the British manufacturer has ever created. In effect, it is a track car approved for use on public roads.

Add the Senna name, and it had to be something truly special. After all, legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna won three Formula 1 world championships, always at the wheel of… McLaren cars.

Brabus 800 Widestar

As a point of interest, it was not purchased by the player; instead, his partner Georgina gave it to him as a birthday present.

Cadillac Escalade

Here is another model from across the Atlantic. Two years after Georgina gave him a Brabus Widestar, she presented him with a vast Cadillac Escalade. Nothing “shouts” American more than an Escalade, apart from perhaps a huge pick-up truck.

Ferrari Purosangue

This is the latest known addition to Cristiano Ronaldo’s garage. The Ferrari Purosangue is unlike every other Ferrari, but also very much like one. After all, beneath the bonnet is a howling naturally aspirated V12 producing 725 hp.

Rolls-Royce Dawn

Ronaldo chose to buy a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead when he decided to remain at Manchester United for a longer period.

He did not stop with that convertible from the marque. More recently, at the end of 2022, his partner gave him a Rolls-Royce Dawn.

Bugatti Centodieci

Only 10 Bugatti Centodieci models were built, and one belongs to Cristiano Ronaldo. The price of joining such an exclusive club? At least €8 million.

Powering this Bugatti is the familiar quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16, here producing 1600 hp - 100 hp more than the Chiron.

Maserati GranCabrio

The 2018 Maserati GranCabrio has a naturally aspirated V8, regarded as one of the most “musical” V8 engines ever, even if its notes are always deep. It is best enjoyed with the roof down at all times.

Ferrari F430

As if two Ferraris were not enough, the Portuguese forward added a Ferrari F430 to his list. The predecessor to the Ferrari 458 is powered by a naturally aspirated V8 capable of reaching 8500 rpm - its appeal is easy to understand.

Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2

To finish in style, there is another Ferrari, and this one could hardly be more special: a Ferrari Monza. It is not known whether it is the SP1, a single-seater, or the SP2, a two-seater. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for example, chose an SP2.

It is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 borrowed from the 812 Superfast.
