Mercedes-AMG pushchairs turn parenthood into a luxury sport

Even parenthood can be seen as a luxury sport. Mercedes has once again teamed up with German firm Hartan to introduce four new sporting models… well, sort of.

Known as Performance, Avantgarde, All-Terrain and GT2, these Mercedes-AMG models are “slightly” different from those leaving the Affalterbach facilities. While their names may sound familiar, these AMGs have been created for babies - with no V8 engine or rear-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential.

The Performance model features a Quick-Fix harness system and a carrycot with an adjustable backrest. The Avantgarde adds a telescopic handlebar. As with the larger models, the All-Terrain name denotes the most capable option, equipped with sturdy tyres and even a handbrake to make “off-road” outings easier.

The Mercedes-AMG GT2, meanwhile, is the most compact model in the line-up, standing out with its sporty wheels, cognac-coloured details, decorative stitching and an AMG logo embroidered on the hood.

Features and pricing

Whichever model you choose, all of these Mercedes-Benz options for babies are upholstered in vegan leather, available in five colours, fitted with adjustable suspension and supplied with the Bag2Go accessory.

As you would expect, all of this comes at a price. They may not be the Mercedes models most people aspire to own, but they are far from cheap: prices range from €1,500 to €1,900.
