The B-SUV segment is both Europe’s largest-selling and fastest-growing, and as Škoda aims to become one of the five best-selling brands in the European market, it has brought out the big guns with the Škoda Epiq.
This is a concept car that closely previews the production model, due to be unveiled next year. It joins an onslaught of European, 100% electric cars at “knockout prices”, including the new Renault 5 and Citroën ë-C3, followed in 2026 by the Volkswagen ID.2all, which uses the same platform.
It is still early days, yet Škoda has already revealed that the entry-level version will cost around €25,000. From here, the story becomes even more interesting, as the following details show.
More space in the Škoda Epiq
The new Epiq will be slightly smaller than the current Kamiq, at 4.1 metres long. However, thanks to the more efficient packaging enabled by its fully electric platform, the Czech manufacturer claims a 490-litre boot.
Although no details of the electric powertrain have yet been released, the versions with the larger battery are known to offer a range of more than 400 km.
New design
The Epiq will also introduce a new exterior and interior design language. Called Modern Solid, it combines “robustness, functionality and authenticity”, representing the brand’s “next level of modernity”.
Its front end adopts a completely redesigned look, with the gloss-black front grille serving as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Škoda grille - the Tech-Deck Face - while incorporating features such as the distance radar and front camera.
Lighting, wheels and cabin technology
The model will also feature a new pronounced spoiler and T-shaped Matrix LED headlights positioned on a lower, secondary level. The Epiq will be fitted with aerodynamically optimised wheels designed to reduce energy consumption and improve range.
Inside, physical controls will remain, although Škoda will also offer a digital mobile key option that can be operated solely through a smartphone.
The Škoda Epiq is the second of six models the brand intends to launch by 2026. We promise more details soon.
