The third-generation Jeep Compass has now been unveiled, and Portugal will not have to wait long to see it. It is the brand’s headline attraction at ECAR Show 2025, held at FIL from 23 to 25 May, as well as one of the major debuts at what is Portugal’s largest motor show.

New platform and design
Almost everything has changed, yet it remains unmistakably a Jeep, with styling similarities to the Grand Cherokee. It sits on a new platform, has grown in every dimension, offers a more sophisticated cabin and introduces an all-new 100% electric variant.
The 100% electric Compass is new
The new Jeep Compass uses Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform and launches with an electrified powertrain range, led by fully electric versions - a first in the history of the American model.
There are three versions available: two with front-wheel drive and one with all-wheel drive, featuring one motor on each axle. For the two front-wheel-drive models, the differences lie in battery capacity, which ranges from 74 kWh to 96 kWh - delivering 506 km or 660 km of WLTP range respectively - and electric motor output, which varies between 157 kW (213 hp) and 170 kW (231 hp).
For now, the all-wheel-drive electric Compass is the most powerful model based on the STLA Medium platform, producing 276 kW (375 hp). It is offered exclusively with the 96 kWh battery, providing up to 600 km of range on the combined WLTP cycle.
The rest of the range starts with the 48 V mild-hybrid version, producing 145 hp and 230 Nm. It combines a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, rated at 136 hp and 230 Nm, with a compact electric motor delivering 28 hp and 50 Nm.
Next is the Compass plug-in hybrid, pairing a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined maximum output of 195 hp and 350 Nm. With a 17.8 kWh battery, Jeep claims an electric range of up to 87 km under WLTP.
When does it arrive?
The new Jeep Compass is already available to order, with prices ranging from €41,000 for the 1.2 MHEV version to €51,750 for the most affordable 100% electric Compass.
Although order books are open immediately, it will not reach Portuguese roads until the final quarter of the year.
