Skoda Epiq unveiled ahead of the Munich Motor Show

It has been a busy weekend for the Volkswagen Group, which used the occasion to unveil several models for the first time ahead of their public appearances at the Munich Motor Show (IAA 2025). Among them is the Skoda Epiq.

Although it remains a preview of the production model - which will not be publicly revealed until the middle of next year - the Epiq already offers a clear indication of what is to come. The Czech cousin of the Volkswagen ID. Cross will be the first model to fully introduce the brand’s Modern Solid design language, inside and out.

On the outside, key details include the glossy black closed Tech-Deck Face grille, T-shaped LED daytime running lights and a sturdy bumper. According to Skoda, these features give it a “dynamic and contemporary” appearance.

Practical Skoda Epiq interior and boot

The cabin has not yet been revealed, but Skoda is promising a practical interior with clean lines and numerous clever features, including plentiful storage, physical buttons, bag hooks and hidden compartments.

Its 475-litre boot is well above the class average, particularly considering that the Skoda Epiq measures no more than 4.1 m in length.

Technical specifications for Skoda’s compact SUV have yet to be disclosed, apart from a claimed WLTP range of up to 425 km.

How much will the Skoda Epiq cost?

The brand positions it as the least expensive electric model in its line-up, with an entry price similar to that of the Kamiq - available only with combustion engines - which is sold in Portugal from €25,903.

The final version of the Epiq is scheduled to be unveiled in the middle of next year, while production is also due to begin in 2026 at Volkswagen’s Navarra plant in Spain. Until then, anyone wishing to see it will need to visit the Munich Motor Show, where it will be on display this week.
